Ana holds a PhD in Biomedicine from the University of Granada, where she specialized in studying the impact of Bisphenol A on the gut microbiome and the identification of potential biodegrader probiotics. In 2025, Ana joined the Technical University of Munich (TUM) as a postdoctoral researcher. Her current research focuses on how nutrient preferences drive gut microbiome assembly and how environmental stressors influence microbial ecology, nutrient metabolism, and microbiome resilience.
Fun Fact: Outside the lab, Ana enjoys traveling, practicing ceramics, exploring craft beers, and "running" marathons (the Netflix kind, with popcorn, please).
