An eLife paper describing a new and much improved method for 3D segmention of cells based on their outlines. Crucial contributions by Athul and Rachele. A huge collaborative effort of members of the DFG research unit FOR 2581 (Plant Morphodynamics). We make extensive use of this method for the segmentation of ovules. Works really well
