Theses, Jobs, PostDoc fellowships
Research courses, B.Sc., M.Sc. and PhD theses
If you are interested in internships, lab rotations, B.Sc. or M.Sc. theses in the Bienert lab please check our teaching website for more details and contact Patrick Bienert.
1. Master Thesis – mid 2026, including a financed -up-to-a month research stay in Japan (including flights) in one of the World leading labs of plant boron research.
Topic: Characterization of novel boron deficiency-inducible genes conserved in boron-demanding plants for the generation of low-boron nutrient-tolerant crops
For more information, please contact Prof. Patrick Bienert (patrick.bienert@tum.de)
2. Master Thesis – March/April 2027, including a financed -up-to-a month research stay in Japan (including flights) in one of the World leading labs of plant boron research.
Topic: Characterization of novel boron deficiency-inducible genes conserved in boron-demanding plants for the generation of low-boron nutrient-tolerant crops
For more information, please contact Prof. Patrick Bienert (patrick.bienert@tum.de)
3. PhD Position - starting 1st October 2026.
Topic: In frame of the newly established DFG Research Unit “Soilplant hydraulics impacting transpiration and plant growth in response to drought”, aiming to investigate how plants maintain their hydraulic linearity even under drought stress conditions, you will identify and characterize the molecular and physiological role of plant water channeling aquaporins in the regulation of of the cell-to-cell water transport pathways from roots to leaves in response to water deficits.
