Position: The successful candidate will be a leading member of an interdisciplinary team focused on the development and application of proteomic approaches to answer scientific questions primarily in and around cancer biology and drug discovery. He/she will be responsible for leading the mass spectrometry team, progressing her/his own as well as collaborative projects and will contribute to the operation and maintenance of the scientific infrastructure of the group.
Requirements: PhD in mass spectrometry-based proteomics and a compelling publication record. Extensive theoretical knowledge of and practical skills in all aspects of (automated and high-throughput) sample preparation, LC-MS/MS analysis using Orbitrap or timsTOF technologies and downstream data processing are essential. Additional important requirements include a sound understanding of biology and an affinity to chemistry and/or data science.
We are looking for a self-motivated, highly skilled and broadly interested individual with the potential to become a leader in the team. Intellectual flexibility and the ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment on multiple scientific and infrastructure projects focused on innovative ideas are essential. Communication skills and experience in presenting concepts and data are also important assets.
