Objectives
• To gain and apply theoretical (immunology, biofunctionality of food) and practical knowledge (skills in applied molecular biology, cell-physiology, animal experiments and microbiology) through working on an own scientific project.
• To develop strategies for the successful and problem-oriented investigation of scientific questions.

Description
During the practical course (duration: 6 weeks) students will participate in ongoing research projects analyzing the impact of food-related components (secondary plant metabolites, fat, minerals, probiotics) on inflammatory signaling in the context of inflammatory bowel diseases.
